With the launch of the ‘Jafza Link’ at GITEX today, more than 5,500 companies in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, UAE, now have instant access to online commerce.

The Virtual Free Zone, which has been developed by Tejari in partnership with Jafza, enables Jafza’s community to send and receive trade leads, create online company profiles and product showrooms, and find suitable trading partners through Tejari’s secure business-to-business environment.

‘Jafza Link’ is one of Tejari’s community portals that have been developed to cater to the needs of specific business communities and to provide dedicated ecommerce match-making solutions that fit their particular business needs. Through the ‘Jafza Link’ portal, companies are able to connect with new customers and new markets, all as part of the service offered to them as part of the Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The Jafza virtual free zone is part of the larger Tejari community portals network which enables member companies to engage in professional and business networking to enhance their profile and increase their business potential.

‘While Jebel Ali has a twenty-year history of fostering trade in the Middle East, our more than 5,500 member companies are still avidly looking for new ways to meet potential partners as well as additional sales opportunities,’ said Salma Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World.

‘Expanding to an online platform has enabled organizations in Jebel Ali to widen their market potential and allowed companies of all sizes to locate buyers and suppliers in a dynamic and cost-effective new medium. As members of Tejari ourselves, we consider this to be a valuable service to our partners,’ she continued.

Jafza member companies are now able to utilize Tejari’s world class support and other services and opportunities that are created through ‘Jafza Link’.

‘Jafza has been instrumental in building international trade between the UAE and the rest of the world, and now with the launch of the virtual free zone, Tejari has extended the capabilities of Jafza companies into the ecommerce arena. This virtual free zone provides Jebel Ali Free Zone companies with ‘market making’ capabilities that help them to find and access new opportunities quickly and affordably,’ said Omar Hijazi, CEO of Tejari.
