DP World – UAE welcomes Hyper Galex service
DP World – UAE’s Jebel Ali Terminal has welcomed its maiden call of the Emirates Wasl on 3rd December as part of the Hyper Galex service launched by Emirates Shipping Line.
The Hyper Galex Service includes shipments from China to India and the Arabian-Gulf. The service is partnered by three companies, namely Emirates Shipping Line, T S Line and Shipping Corporation of India and is provided through a total of 6 vessels with capacity of around 3000 TEUs. Emirates Shipping Line operates 4 out of the 6 vessels.
A service launch function was held at the Jebel Ali Terminal on the 7th of December where the Emirates Wasl re-visited Jebel Ali Terminal.
Attending the function were delegates from DP World – UAE & Emirates Shipping Line’s top management team, including Vikas Khan, Chairman & CEO of Emirates Shipping Line. Commenting on the service, Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, DP World – UAE, who was present at the function said ‘We intend to support the Hyper Galex service the Emirates Shipping Line as part of our continuous support to our customers. This is a very beneficial service and we will handle the vessels and their cargo with the utmost efficiency.’
Also present at the event, Mohamed El Alfy, Senior Vice President – Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean, Emirates Shipping Line said ‘Having our vessels visit the Jebel Ali Terminal is a very sound move. We have enjoyed a successful business partnership with DP World and look forward to their continuous support in the future.’
