Japan-based pump suppliers Torishima to open facility in TechnoPark

The facility will comprise a state of the art workshop with a team of vastly experienced engineering and design professionals to help the company deliver support services to its wider Middle East clientele.
Torishima’s 9652 sq.m service centre will provide a major boost to TechnoPark’s efforts to help deliver sustainable water and power solutions to the region. The Japanese group is a leading player in the industry with a strong footprint in the Middle East. The company has over 6,000 pumps installed in the region and over 30 years pump supply experience.
Senior officials, including Abdalla Al Banna, Vice President, Commercial Sales – UAE Region TechnoPark, Kotaro Harada, President Torishima Pumps MFG, Yasunao Hirota, Regional Director, Ryusuke Okada, Executive Director, Alister Flett, Managing Director, Torishima Service Solutions, and John Houston, Sales & Business Director, Torishima Service Solutions, attended the signing ceremony that marked another significant step in TechnoPark’s expansion.
“The induction of Torishima Service Solutions to the TechnoPark community is well in line with our core vision of supporting industries that serve sectors close to the region’s energy and water needs, Abdalla Al Banna said in connection with the signing of the contract. “This partnership provides Torishima with an operating base that excels in support services while at the same time enables TechnoPark get closer to our goal,” he added.

Torishima’s induction closely follows another major initiative by TechnoPark to support sustainable water resource management and desalination efforts. The industrial park recently launched an Excellence Centre for Integrated Water Management, a world-class initiative to undertake applied research in Water Cycles, sustainable solutions for the ecosystem and the proper use of water resources. The Centre was announced at the International Desalination Association World Congress in Dubai that TechnoPark hosted earlier this month.
