DP World hosts reception to mark India independence day
As part of its initiative to foster a sense of unity within its multinational workforce, DP World, UAE Region recently marked India’s 64th Independence Day, with a reception attended by Their Excellencies, M K Lokesh, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, and Sanjay Verma, Consul General of India in Dubai.
Indian staff and their families also attended the event hosted at the Ramadan Tent in Jebel Ali Port by DP World, UAE Region.
Celebrations started off with the playing of the UAE & Indian National Anthems followed by felicitating the Indian diplomats. The function included a magic show, sports and cultural events. DP World colleagues with long service history were presented mementos as appreciation towards their enduring continued contribution to DP World.
His Excellency, Ambassador M K Lokesh appreciated DP World for organising the India Independence Day event and encouraged the Indian expatriates for their contribution towards the successful growth of DP World & the UAE
Welcoming the guests, Mohammed Ali Ahmed, Director of Strategic Planning and Business Support DP World, UAE Region, said:
